this life.

We are like flowers.

All flowers grow from seeds.

Some die by natural causes before they blossom.

Others die by artificial causes.

Others live long but struggle daily to survive.

And yet others blossom every day, so they live long and well.

Regardless of how flowers come to be and get to live,

They all die at some point.

Just like us.

I mean, life is so beautiful, in fact,

There is so much to see, know, have

Experience, achieve, etc. in this life.

But that's just it; it's this life.

This life; that comes to an end.

This life; that is here today and gone tomorrow.

This life that is a pure, undeserved gift,

Which we don't know when it's gonna run out.

I don't know what it's like to near death

Or what follows when one is gone,

But I know that when that time finally comes,

Nothing else seems to matter 'cause nothing can.

Not your career, education, reputation, or volition.

Certainly not your family, looks, talents, or stocks.

I mean, it's sad, but it's the truth, right?

I know that sometimes we don't have an answer for

The famous "where do you see yourself in 5 years?"

But I hope that every day,

We get to think about 5 minutes before we're gone.

For some people, this thought is unwanted.

I hear you; I used to be the same way.

But then I realized that that day is inevitable

So why not give it some thought anyway?

I soon learned that this thought doesn't have to be scary.

'Cauz there's not much we need to do on our behalf.

We can give our lives to God who takes things from there,

And all of a sudden, death is not scary anymore

Because the other side is incomprehensibly much more beautiful.

So easy and such a great deal, right? I mean, I think so.

Well, give it some thought and make your own decision.

But I hope you choose Him who conquered death.

In the meantime, may this life be good to you!

And may God bless your pursuit of a good, meaningful life.

I hope you get to reap and enjoy the fruits of your hard work.

And have people with whom to share all the blessings of this life.

But most importantly, I hope that your priorities remain in order,

So that you don't trade what's permanent for what's temporary.
